Fan Convectors

Fan Convectors

Each of these fan convector heat emitters receives hot water from the central-heating boiler. First, the water passes through a coil inside the unit. Then a fan blows air across the coil delivering heated air to the room.  Fan convectors are a good (although more expensive) option when radiant floors are not an option, or when there is not enough wall space for baseboard heaters.

Useful in garage or basement, a Modine® hydronic blower can be mounted on a wall or from the ceiling and can be rotated to blow hot air where needed. Image courtesy of Modine Manufacturing Co.
toekick blower
A toe-kick blower is great for small spaces and where wall length for hydronic baseboard is limited.
